Michael andI have just spent the a long w/e in the Netherlands. Apart from a rather long coach journey there and back we had a good time. We stayed in Valkenburg in a small cosy hotel with a staff of 2. They were so friendly and helpful. Saturday morning was spent in the town and we also had a trip down into the 45 miles of man made caves and then spent some time exploring the town.
In the afternoon we went into Germany ,to a village called Munchou. ( will have to check the spelling). Lots of quaint and very old buildings and a castle.
The highlight of the tour was on Sunday with our visit to the Kuchenhof gardens and the bulb fields. The gardens were beautiful, swathes of colour everywhere. So many va
rieties of tulips and other bulb flowers.A band was playing and the weather was perfect.

So a lovely w/e and a great welcome home from Ethan who gave me a big cuddle and shouted 'Nana, I have mis-ed you.'
