Playtime.

Last night was our monthly crop in Olney and I spent the whole of it playing with a Cricut. Jay bought along her shop and allowed me first go on her machine. I suspect she doesn't like reading the instructions and I will have to show her how it works on Sunday (LOL). Anyway I had fun and it was very easy to use, it just takes a while to discover what numbers to put the dials on. Would I buy one myself? Well it is costly and the cartridges aren't cheap, but you do get more than just an alphabet. I think it is probably cheaper than buying sizzex ( is that spelt right?) or quickcutz dies and definately more fun to use. So, I will think about it and consider saving up.

Had a great weekend at Claires and managed to make a tree skirt for next christmas. So ahead of myself!

Off to craft club this afternoon so must get sorted and then will call round to see Rachael and Ethan. It is good to see Ethan getting better but we need to feed him up, he is as light as a feather.

Beverly is coming over for dinner tonight, she is a busy young lady these days and I really miss her now that she is in her own place but it makes it all the better when we do meet up.

Lindsay and Ed hope to complete on their new house in the middle of next month so will no doubt be roped in to help with the move, dog sitting and cleaning probably!

Ok, just having a little play.Trying to add in a photo of the lollisticks.

Ok well that worked although I have put it on the wrong entry! At least I know now. I'll have another try with the piccies of my confess mini book.

New Blog

Welcome to my new blog.

I fancied a change!

The Queen and my little Prince

Well ,I enjoyed 'The Queen on Wednesday eve. Helen Mirren was her usual superb self and the chap who played Tony Blair was more like him than he is himself! I had to remind myself occasionally that some of the diologue was supposition about what was said. Well worth watching.
Ethan( the little Prince) has been so so poorly. I don't think I have ever seen a child with so many Chicken Pox spots. They are everywhere. The 'photo on Rachaels blog was taken before they all came out. I hope tomorrow will see him feeling a bit better and starting to eat again.
Have just booked a long weekend break to Valkenburg and the Ditch bulbfields in April. for Michael and I. I've always wanted to go to Keukenhof Gardens and think of the 'photo opportunities. In July we are off to Turkey for two weeks and i am hoping to book a few more breaks.
Off to friend Claires this wekend with Liz, my SIL. Girls weekend of sewing and chatter, should be good.
I have made some lollipop sticks greetings ( from a class on Carolinecraftz). Will try to scan them on to this blog. Not sure if they will come out too well.
Oooh , they have come out quite well.

Must confess.

I enjoyed doing Shimelles free on-line class this weekend. 5 confessions, my book is quite simple but is was fun. Take a look to see what some of my sins are!! The pages are here on my gallery.
Ethan is feeling quite poorly with Chicken Pox at the moment. I went to buy him a comic thinking he might like me to read some little short stories to him but ended up not buying. All the comics these day for little ones seem to be all about, adding up, colouring, finding things. All Ok when he's feeling well and happy but he's not in the mood for that. I hope our little chap is back to his normal cyclonic self very soon.
Off to see The Queen tomorrow night with a friend. No, not at Buck house but at Wellingborough . Hope it is as good as they say, I 'll let you know.
Year 4 are making soup this week and I asked them to bring in a water tight container to carry it home in. One turns up today with an empty Quality Street tin!! Oh well at least he bought something.
